Description: Dimensional flow âE" the hypothesis that the effective spacetime dimension D is a scale-dependent quantity D(â„") approaching 4 in the infrared âE" interprets the parameter Iµ = 4âˆ'D of dimensional regularization as a physically meaningful quantity rather than a computational device. We summarize the formal structure of this proposal, its extension to a multifractal spectrum of generalized dimensions Dq(â„"), and the independent theoretical motivations (onset of Hamiltonian chaos, WilsonâE"Fisher-type attractors, Higgs-sector triviality) that support treating Iµ ̸= 0 as physical rather than artefactual. We close by identifying open questions of observational cosmology and particle physics where indirect, cumulative signatures might instead be sought.
