Description: In recent years, the use of robots across various industries has grown paramount. Robots and automation technologies have played a significant impact in various aspects including productivity growth, reshoring opportunities, and customisation capabilities for consumers, and have also helped foster international collaboration between nations and businesses. This article does an empirical analysis with the help of case studies to analyse the impact of automation and robots on various industries by discussing their pros and cons. It is also found that although robots have a very positive impact in various spheres of manufacturing, nation development, and helping people, it is that robots are to be implemented with appropriate care to prevent the displacement of people in various economies while also generating jobs for many.
